fertility in this culture is dumb

SO there's TOO EARLY to have a baby- that's the teen moms of the world. call that 16-20 ish, possibly extended later if you are in college.

Practically the best time, though, fertility wise. but dumb from an educational, financial, life perspective.

then there's too LATE to have a baby. 35+ moms worry about diseases, handicapped babies, etc. Never mind that you can probably do it up into early 40s.

So there's the 21-35 that's Okay. but not if you are overweight, ill, in poor financial shape, not ready, trying to get a career going. And what if your marriage ends or you haven't met someone appropriate yet?

I mean, I'm 38 and I want to do it NOW. I have a fear that I won't be able to if I don't do it NOW.

And I wish there had been a way to understand that time does run out. It sucks.
